Scour pots and grill grates

Coffee grounds act as a mild abrasive and replace steel wool on stubborn residue on stainless steel, cast iron and grill grates.
What you need
- Damp coffee grounds
- Sponge or brush
Step by step
- 1
Apply
Put a handful of damp grounds directly onto the dirty spot.
- 2
Scrub
Rub with the rough side of the sponge in circular motions.
- 3
Rinse well
Rinse with plenty of water and wipe away residue with kitchen paper.
Good to know
- Avoid on light-coloured plastic or unsealed stone — it can stain.
