Christmas gifts made from coffee grounds
Homemade gifts come from the heart – and with coffee grounds they're sustainable too. These three ideas are easy to prepare ahead and wrap beautifully.
What you need
- Dry coffee grounds
- Coconut oil and brown sugar
- Glycerin soap base
- Silicone mould
- Small fabric sachets
- Jars, ribbons, labels
Step by step

Scrub in a jar
Mix 4 tbsp grounds, 2 tbsp coconut oil and 2 tbsp sugar, fill a pretty jar and label it.

Pour coffee soap
Melt the soap base, stir in 1–2 tbsp grounds, pour into the mould and let it set for 2 hours.

Fill scent sachets
Fill sachets with dry grounds plus a little cinnamon or cloves – great for wardrobes or cars.

Wrap it nicely
A ribbon, a sprig and a card with usage notes complete the gift.
Good to know
- Keep oil-based scrub cool and give it away within 2 weeks.
- Write shelf life and ingredients on the label.
